We are pleased to officially announce that the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) has been awarded a Special Mention – Education in the Design Power Index (DPI) Singapore 2026. 23 organisations, some of them among the largest organisations in Singapore have been properly evaluated and admitted into this year’s design power index.
The Design Power Index rigorously evaluates organizations not by industry sector, but by how design is utilized as a fundamental source of economic and societal power. The index assesses institutional performance across four core dimensions: value capture, market shaping, adoption and scale, and durable impact.
Among the 23 organisations from Singapore who participated in the index, just taking those companies listed on SGX alone, their total market value is ~S$148.89 Billion, the staff they employed: 75,331 employees and the total countries they operate In: 115 countries.
Organisations submit evidence to prove the impact of design and then it is assessed by an international panel of experts in finance, investment, design, social impact from the Americas, Europe and Asia. There was no requirement for rigorous assessment in 2025
