Special Mention – Design Power Index Singapore 2026 – Commune

Special Mention – Design Power Index Singapore 2026 – Commune 1280 1600 Design Business Chamber Singapore

We are pleased to officially announce that Commune has been awarded a Special Mention in the Design Power Index (DPI) Singapore 2026. 23 organisations, some of them among the largest organisations in Singapore have been properly evaluated and admitted into this year’s design power index.

The Design Power Index rigorously evaluates organizations not by industry sector, but by how design is utilized as a fundamental source of economic and societal power. The index assesses institutional performance across four core dimensions: value capture, market shaping, adoption and scale, and durable impact.

Among the 23 organisations from Singapore who participated in the index, just taking those companies listed on SGX alone, their total market value is ~S$148.89 Billion, the staff they employed: 75,331 employees and the total countries they operate In: 115 countries.

Organisations submit evidence to prove the impact of design and then it is assessed by an international panel of experts in finance, investment, design, social impact from the Americas, Europe and Asia. There was no requirement for rigorous assessment in 2025

Receiving a Special Mention is a distinct recognition reserved for organizations whose work exceptionally stands out in its own right. This honor serves as a direct acknowledgment of the highly noteworthy and innovative elements inherent in Commune’s approach to design.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the leadership and teams at Commune for their unique contributions to the design landscape and their commitment to design excellence.

Please note: This announcement reflects the results of the DPI Singapore 2026 cohort. The comprehensive overall DPI report will be published at the end of the year.

This initiative is proudly presented in partnership with the World Business Design Organization, Design Business Chamber Singapore, and Consulus.
